After creating an encounter and adding it to your page (see Creating Encounters for more info), you can click Start Encounter to open the encounter tracker panel.

When this panel is open, you can continue navigating to any other page, and the encounter tracker will stay open.

Initiative

Party Initiative

When starting an encounter, the encounter tracking panel will present a menu for adding party initiative. All party members listed in the adventure's Party Members section are added automatically to the encounter.

If you want to skip adding initiative for each party member, or want to add it later, just click Continue. You can always modify the party's initiative later.

Monster Initiative

All monster's initiative is rolled automatically at the start of the encounter. Initiative is calculated based on a 1d20 roll plus the monster's dexterity modifier.

All monsters of the same type will be rolled with the same initiative score.

You can re-roll monster initiative by clicking Reset Encounter from the ... menu. Note: This will reset the entire encounter including hit point changes for monsters and party members.

Encounter Tracker

1. Encounter Participant Initiative

The left hand column displays the initiative of each participant in descending order. You can modify this value at any time to move a participant's position in initiative.

2. Monster Name & Stat Block

A monster's name is appended by an incrementing number to differentiate between other monsters of the same type.

A monster's name can be clicked to open the stat block for that monster (see Monster Stat Blocks for more details).

3. Party Member Portraits

Party member participants are displayed with their character portraits to distinguish them from monsters involved in the combat.
